Last Friday morning, I was inspired to record this short video to help principals manage their staff's growing anxiety. As always, inspiration always hits me right after I finish my morning workout which is why my video is raw, authentic and filled with love. In it, I offer a gentle reminder that our priority this fall will not be the curriculum but rather on establishing solid connections with our students and staff members. It will be on ensuring all feel safe and secure. It will be on learning to engage socially again after being isolated for so long and on adopting new daily hygienic routines. It will be about changing the script and coming to terms with our new reality as we work hard on embracing the as-isness of our new life, one moment at a time.
